All industrial, commercial and home-based businesses that are located in the Village of Morton Grove are required to have an up-to-date business license. This license does not regulate the manner in which you do business, but merely verifies that your business is in compliance with local zoning, building, health, and fire codes and other applicable Village ordinances.
The annual fee for this license is based on the size of your business operation. The minimum fee is $100. Additional fees are accessed for vending machines and other automated devices such as coin-operated games and ice cube machines. An additional license is also required for the sale of tobacco products and the sale or dispensing of liquor. The licensing period extends from 1/1 - 12/31. Existing business licenses must be renewed annually.
Acceptance of a business license is an acknowledgement of the business owner’s responsibility to comply with all Village ordinances including the maintenance of the public way immediately adjacent to the place of business.
