About Morton Grove

The Village of Morton Grove is comprised of approximately 5.25 square miles, of which less than one percent remains undeveloped. We have outstanding access to the Chicagoland region via Metra rail, Pace bus, and interstate highways 94 and 294.

The Village includes a balance of residential neighborhoods, industrial districts, and commercial corridors including several retail centers. The Village actively promotes redevelopment in our commercial and industrial districts.

Morton Grove is proud to be the home of several successful light and medium manufacturing and merchandising facilities including:

  • Crane Packing, manufacturer of mechanical seals for several industries
  • ITT / Bell & Gossett, manufacturer of residential and industrial pumps used world-wide
  • Kraft Foods, research and development
  • Lifeway Foods, manufacturer of Kefir and other dairy products
  • Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals, manufacturer of pharmaceutical products
  • Regis Technologies, pharmaceutical & bio-tech research & development
  • Strange Engineering, manufacturer of performance automobile parts

Morton Grove is also proud to host a variety of commercial businesses including restaurants, retail stores, and professional services. A representative sample of local businesses includes:

The Village's high quality of life, combined with relatively low taxes, have contributed to its stable population and steady annual growth in tax base from the mid 1950's to date. The Village was recognized as one of the “Best Towns for Families” by Family Circle magazine in 2007.

Morton Grove’s location, especially with its high traffic volume on commercial corridors and proximity to Pace and Metra public transit lines, gives industrial and commercial businesses a real edge for labor availability and affordability.
