One of the services the Village of Morton Grove is pleased to offer our residents is the Lending Closet Program. The Lending Closet contains health care equipment which we loan out on a first come/first serve basis. We are pleased to assist you in this area and would like to share with you the program guidelines. Please read the guidelines carefully. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated and will enhance the operation of the program.

1. The person borrowing the item must be a Morton Grove resident. The item must be returned to the Lending Closet when the person no longer resides in or moves to a nursing home Morton Grove.
   
2. Items from the Lending Closet will be loaned out for up to a 12-month period. After 12 months, the item may be recalled if needed.
   
3. Once you no longer use the item you borrowed, please return it as soon as possible. Others may be in need of it and are waiting for it to be returned.
   
4. If you request an item and we do not have it in stock, your name will be placed on a waiting list and you will be called as soon as the item is available.
   
5. We have available a listing of stores that sell and rent health care equipment. This list may be of help if you are requesting items for which we are currently out-of-stock or for items we do not stock.
   
6. We charge a quarterly rental fee of $10.00 for the use of the wheelchair. This fee is required whether you keep the chair one day, one weekend, one quarter or longer. A one-time fee of $10.00 is charged for the bucket attached to the portable commode. All other items are free.
