We, the members of the Morton Grove Police Department, are committed to providing responsive and professional law enforcement services, preserving peace and order, and maintaining the highest ethical standards possible.

Department Overview
The department is a well trained, professional organization consisting of 81 personnel who are committed to protecting life and property, investigating criminal matters, enforcing local ordinances as well as state law and providing quality services. The department is divided into five divisional components: three (3) Patrol Services components (3 patrol watches), the Field Services Component and the Support Services component. Generally, line functions are performed by sworn personnel in the Patrol and Field Services and staff functions are performed by civilian personnel in the Support Services component.

The department is located 12 miles north of downtown Chicago at 6101 Capulina Avenue or 1 mile from the border of Chicago. We are 3 blocks South of Dempster, 2 blocks north of Lincoln and about 12 blocks from Oakton. Major intersections are: Austin and Dempster, Lincoln and Austin.

Off the I-294: Exit Dempster East, about 5 miles, right on Austin Avenue, right on Capulina Avenue.

Off the I-94: Exit Dempster West, about ½ mile, left on Austin Avenue, right on Capulina Avenue.

  • The Morton Grove Police Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Our Records Department is open from 8am - 4pm, Monday - Fridays ,except holidays.
  • Copies of reports maybe requested by personally coming in to the station, calling our Records Section or by mail. There is a $5.00 fee for this service. Proper identification will be required.
  • When paying tickets by mail, please do not send cash. Make checks payable to the Village of Morton Grove.
