Photo Contest - Fall 2016

CONTEST RULES

The Community Relations Commission is sponsoring a Fall community photo contest to showcase the people, places and events in Morton Grove that reflect the Village’s new tagline Incredibly Close - Amazingly Open. Our Spring and Summer contestants submitted many outstanding photographs which can now be viewed on the Village’s Facebook page.

Photographers can submit up to 5 photos which will be judged on subject, composition, and how the photo relates to the Village’s new tagline. All photos may be used in Village publications including the Village’s Facebook page, website, e-newsletters as well as other informational, promotional, and marketing materials. The 5 winning photos will also be enlarged, framed, and displayed at the Village Hall.

The new tagline was developed as part of the Village’s marketing and branding efforts. Incredibly Close highlights the Village’s close proximity to the City of Chicago, O’Hare Airport, world-class shopping, dining and entertainment, as well the incredible community spirit of our residents. Amazingly Open describes the Village’s abundant open spaces including forest preserve, golf course and parks, and spotlights our diversity and openness to new neighbors, businesses, and opportunities.

The contest is open to all Morton Grove residents, businesses, employees and visitors. Contestants should email their high resolution digital photos in JPG or JPEG format along with the registration and release form. Photos submitted may be no larger than 14MB. While digital photos are preferred, print photos no smaller than 4” x 6” may also be submitted via mail or in person to Fall Photo Contest, 6101 Capulina Avenue, Morton Grove, IL 60053. All photos must be submitted by December 2, 2016. Winners will be announced at the December 12, 2016, Village Board meeting.
