Morton Grove’s Metra rail station is located at 8501 Lehigh Avenue, just south of Lincoln Avenue. This commuter rail line provides frequent access between the Village of Fox Lake in the far northern suburbs and Union Station in downtown Chicago. Parking Locations - Nearly 400 parking spaces for commuters are provided near the Metra station. These spaces are located:
- Within the parking lot adjacent to the station
- Along the east side of Lehigh Avenue, south of the station
- Along Elm Street, west of the station
Disability Parking - Parking spaces for those with physical disabilities are provided in the main parking lot, adjacent to the Metra station. As required by state law, a valid disability parking tag is required to park in these spaces.
Fees - The daily parking fee is $1.50 per space, payable with cash or a more convenient parking debit card. The debit cards cost $10 and come pre-loaded with $10.00 credit. The cards can be re-loaded with additional funds electronically at the machines located near the Metra station.
Debit Cards - To purchase your parking debit card, visit Morton Grove Village Hall (open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM). After hours and weekends, parking debit cards can be purchased from the Morton Grove Police Department, located on the east side of Village Hall.
