Computer/Electronics Recycling Event |

The City of Evanston is hosting a cost-free computer and electronics recycling event on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at James Park at 300 Dodge Avenue. Only residentially-generated equipment will be accepted at this collection event.
CRT Processing, LLC. will recycle all computer/electronic materials in an environmentally responsible manner at its Janesville, WI facility.
Questions can be addressed by the City of Evanston's Streets and Sanitation Division at (847) 866-2940.
Acceptable Items
The following materials will be accepted for recycling at the event:

PC's
Monitors
Hard Drives
Modems
Printers
Mice
Keyboards
Scanners
Office Equipment & Products
Telephones
Typewriters
Answering
Machines
Calculators
Fax Machines
Copy Machines
Shredders
Postage Machines
Entertainment & Visual Equipment
TV's (no consoles)
VCR's
DVD Players
Stereo Equipment
Cameras
Camcorders
Video Game Players
Joysticks
Other
Microwaves
Toasters or Toaster Ovens
Blenders
Unacceptable Items
The following materials will NOT be accepted at the event:
Batteries
Light Bulbs
Humidifiers
Dehumidifiers
Large Home Appliances
Software Disks
CD's or DVD's
Chemicals
Scrap Metal
Tires
This event is only for computer and electronic material. No household chemical waste will be accepted. Please visit swancc.org for information on disposing of these items.
