Please be advised the Morton Grove Police Department will be targeting railroad crossing locations for violations by pedestrians and motorists beginning January 1. A two-week warning/education period began December 18.

Please be advised of the Village Code:
"No person shall drive any vehicle through or under any crossing gate or barrier at a railroad crossing while such gate or barrier is being opened or closed."

"No pedestrian shall enter, remain upon or traverse over a railroad crossing or pedestrian walkway crossing a railroad track when an audible bell or clearly visible electric or mechanical signal device is operational giving warning of the presence, approach, passage or departure of a railroad train."
