Most Memorable Morton Grove Moment Essay Book

The Morton Grove Community Relations Commission is sponsoring an essay project open to all ages! You can use entry forms which are available at Village Hall (6101 Capulina), The Civic Center (6140 Dempster), Morton Grove Public Library (6140 Lincoln), or Morton Grove Park District (6834 Dempster); or, if you prefer, you may use one side of one sheet of white 8.5” x 11” paper. Entries must be either typed or handwritten legibly using black ink. If you don’t have access to a typewriter or computer and/or your handwriting isn’t what it used to be, your entry can be dictated to a friend or family member who can then submit it for you. Please DO NOT FOLD your entry! Please put your name and address (optional), and the year in which you were born on the back. (We need your year of birth because we plan to format the chapters of the book by “generation”.) Remember, including your name and address is OPTIONAL but we do require your year of birth!

All entries should be submitted to Village Hall by March 31, 2010 and marked to the attention of “Community Relations Essay”.

The Commission plans to put all the essays together in a book that can be sold at various Village events and be available at the Library as well! Please note that we require a minimum of 50 entries in order to publish these memoirs! Proceeds from book sales will go to the Morton Grove Foundation.

If you have questions or need more information, please contact Terri Cousar of the Community Relations Commission at (847) 966-2479 or email teresa.cousar@sbcglobal.net.
