Construction of Sawmill Station On-Schedule
July 8, 2020

With a phased opening plan beginning this year, construction of the new Sawmill Station shopping center is not slowing down. The first commercial tenants plan to open their doors as early as fall of 2020, with others following closely in winter and spring of 2021. The commercial developer, Kensington Development Partners, has been strategically selective of commercial uses, curating a mix of tenants that has demonstrated long-term resiliance in the marketplace. Among the first tenants to open their doors under the phased plan include Starbucks, Dollar Tree, Raising Cane’s, Kohl’s, Aspen Dental, and the grocer, the name of which will be revealed at a later date.

Sitework has also begun in preparation of construction of the 250-unit multi-family development planned next door. According to residential developer UrbanStreet Group, construction of the complex is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2022.
