Active Development Projects

  • Napleton Honda (Waukegan & Dempster) - Site work is underway for a new 40,000-square-foot Napleton Honda dealership.
  • Fifth Third (6210 Dempster) - The Village approved a Special Use Permit for a new 2,800-square-foot bank branch at 6210 Dempster Street, across the street from the existing Fifth Third Bank at 6201 Dempster Street.
  • Dunkin' (5843 Dempster) - The Village approved a Special Use Permit for a new Dunkin' restaurant with a drive-through. Construction is planned to begin in Spring 2024.
  • Everclean Car Wash (9120 Waukegan) - Construction is underway for the remodeling and rebranding of the existing Platinum Car Wash by Everclean Car Wash. The Village approved a Special Use Permit for the project in 2023.
  • Park Villas Townhomes & Duplex (Hennings & Narragansett) - Construction of a duplex and ten townhomes on two separate sites by P & P Properties is in progress.
  • Ponto Collection (9312 Shermer) - Construction of six single-family detached residences as part of a new subdivision by Varda & Company is in progress.
  • Lehigh & Chestnut Mixed-Use Development (8500-50 Lehigh) - Site work will begin soon for a 36-unit mixed-use development by MHDC SLF LLC with ground-floor restaurant and cafe spaces. The Village approved Special Use Permits and Subdivision in 2023.
  • Metro on Main by Lexington Homes (8350 Lehigh) - Site work is underway for an 89-unit townhome development by Lexington Homes. The Village approved a Planned Unit Development and Subdivision in 2023.
  • New Village Hall & Police Station (6201 Dempster) - The Village is under contract to purchase 6201 Dempster for a combined Village Hall and Police Station municipal complex.
  • Gateway Plaza (Ferris & Lincoln) - The Village is modifying the design of the Gateway Plaza to come within budget. Construction is planned for Spring 2024. A letter updating commemorative brick purchasers can be read here: Gateway Plaza Update.
  • Morton Grove Metra Station (8501 Lehigh) - Architectural and engineering plans are being finalized for the construction of a new Metra Station to commence in Spring 2024.
  • Joe Donut (6724 Dempster) - Village review of a proposed mixed-use development with ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces is in progress. The project will include a new location for the popular Joe Donut cafe.
