Businesses Begin to Open Doors at Sawmill Station

The Department of Community and Economic Development is excited to announce that Starbucks (6801 Dempster Street) and Dollar Tree (6901 Dempster Street) at Sawmill Station have opened their doors to the public. Other retailers and restaurants will follow in the coming months. Construction activities at the new Sawmill Station shopping center will continue until all commercial buildings and spaces are completed. The next retailers to open their doors will be Raising Cane’s, Kohl’s, Aspen Dental, and the grocer, the name of which will be revealed at a later date.

Sitework has also begun in preparation of construction of the 250-unit multi-family development planned next door. According to residential developer UrbanStreet Group, construction of the complex is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2022.
