The Village of Morton Grove has restricted all public access to Village buildings. The Village will continue to provide essentail services, police, fire, EMS and municipal utilities. residents are encouraged to conduct business by methods OTHER THAN IN-PERSON interaction.
Residents wishing to contact the Village departments and/or conduct business should note the below options:
The April 13, 2020 Village Board meeting has been cancelled.
A Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on March 18, 2020. At that meeting, Mayor DiMaria issued a Declaration of Local State of Emergency for Village of Morton Grove due to COVID-19. This declaration will enable the Village to receive additional funding and assistance from state and federal agencies to respond to the impacts of COVID-19. This ordinance provides the Mayor and the Village Administrator authorization for each to use, if necessary, emergency powers to respond to this emergency and to maintain appropriate levels of Village services. Click here for a copy of Ord. 20-08
On March 23, 2020, the Village Administrator Issued COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2020 - 01 which prohbited door to door pedding and solicitation during the COVID Emergency and prohibited setting loose garbage out for collection. Click here for a copy of COVID-19 EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2020 - 01
The Village of Morton Grove has suspended all senior programing and events offered at the Civic Center (6140 Dempster) until further notice.
The The April 18, 2020 Community Artists performance has been cancelled.
The Expired Prescription Medication Drop Off Program and “Sharps” Disposal Program at the Civic Center have been suspended.
All rentals of rooms at the Civic Center have been cancelled. Contact (847) 663-3071 for further detail and/or refunds.
Due to the extension of the Governor’s Stay at Home Order, all cases scheduled for the May 29, 2020 Local Adjudication Hearing are being continued to June 25 and June 26, 2020. The $50 administrative fee will be waived for all individuals settling their citations prior to the hearing date and paying any required fines. The payment portal can be accessed by clicking on this link. Individuals are also welcome to contest their citations without a formal hearing.
