Santa is once again coming to town! This year’s Santa Comes to Town Parade is on Saturday, December 2.
Mark your calendars.
- Santa begins at Greenwood & Waukegan at 11:00 a.m. His trip will end at Main Street and Austin Avenue between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m.
- Santa will reappear at 6834 Dempster (Prairie View Community Center) to greet families and to provide gifts to children receiving specially mark candy from the parade.

Santa Comes to Town Gift Redemption 1:00pm – 4:00pm
This year’s Santa visit and prize redemption will be at Prairie View Community Center, 6834 Dempster St. Families are invited to stop by and meet Santa and/or redeem specially marked candy.
- Families wishing to meet Santa and/or redeem a specially marked candy for a prize must come to the gymnasium at Prairie View Community Center. Look for a “preferred redemption time” on the specially marked candy. After meeting with Santa, if a child has a specially marked candy, they will be directed to the prize redemption room.
- All visiting children will receive from Santa, a coloring book and crayons (one bag per child).
- Kids are welcome to hand a letter to Santa or Mrs. Claus when they go up
to see him.
Gift Redemption Only:
- Those wishing to redeem specially marked candy WITHOUT visiting Santa can go directly to the gift redemption area.
