Holiday Celebration Luncheon

Friday, December 6, 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

You’re invited to eat, drink, and be merry with us! We’re serving up a festive atmosphere with a full luncheon and entertainment, featuring the Jimmy O & Rhonda Lee Duo—a two-piece band with the energy and sound of a nine-piece band! We’ll feast on chicken marsala, sliced beef with gravy, au gratin potatoes, peas, salad, and a dessert buffet.Cost: $14 with advance ($15 at the door)

Cannabis and Your Health: The Current State of Affairs –FREE

This program is designed to address the components of cannabis—both recreational and medical. It will review manifestations for which cannabis may be used, as well as the potential results of its use. Presented by Alma J. Labunski, PhD, MS, RN, Retired Dean and Professor, North Park University, Chicago, and Educational Consultant. .

On a day that begins like any other, Hal receives a mysterious letter bequeathing her a substantial inheritance. She realizes very quickly that the letter was sent to the wrong person—but also that the cold-reading skills she’s honed as a tarot card reader might help her claim the money. Soon, Hal finds herself at the funeral of the deceased…where it dawns on her that there is something very, very wrong about this strange situation and the inheritance at the center of it.

I Am Not an Artist/2019 In Review- FREE

In this class we will make a collage, telling the story of the year 2019 in what we experienced and how we dealt with it. We will work on how an image can tell a story and how we can illustrate events and emotions in a meaningful way. Materials: paper and any other materials you wish!
