The Village is excited to welcome Keith White to the Village Board of Trustees. On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Mayor Janine Witko appointed Keith White as Trustee to fill her vacancy after being sworn in as Morton Grove’s new Mayor. At the Board meeting, Trustee White was sworn in with incumbent Board members Trustee Saba Khan, Trustee Ashur Shiba, Trustee Connie Travis, and Clerk Eileen Scanlon Harford, who were reelected in the 2025 Consolidated Election on April 1, 2025. Trustee White most recently served as Chairperson of the Village’s Traffic Safety Commission and was selected by Mayor Witko for his unparalleled commitment to public service and deep roots in the community.
Trustee White was born and raised in Morton Grove and has spent a total of 49 years as a resident. His father worked as a professional photographer who took investigative photos for the Morton Grove Police Department. Both of Trustee White’s parents were active in local politics and served as Morton Grove Park District Commissioners for years. In his youth, Trustee White worked at the Morton Grove Park District in various roles the 1970s. He later returned to the Park District, serving as a Park District Commissioner from 2016 to 2022.
Trustee White has maintained an active presence in the Village as an appointed official for over two decades. From 2001 to 2004, he served on the Morton Grove Cable Commission. He has served on the Traffic Safety Commission since 2002 and has provided steadfast leadership of the Commission as Chairperson since 2010. Always engaged in civic life, Trustee White participated in the Village’s first Citizen’s Police Academy in 2015 and has volunteered to work the Morton Grove Days event every year for the past decade. He was selected as Chairperson of the Village’s first Strategic Planning Committee, helping to shape goals for the Village’s operation.
In his professional life, Trustee White spent twelve years in the dry cleaning, retail, and hotel valet service industry. He has also spent over three decades in the disaster restoration industry and currently works as Regional Contents Manager of Paul Davis Emergency Services in Schaumburg.
Trustee White is excited to join the Morton Grove Village Board of Trustees. He plans to promote infrastructure projects and civic engagement, and be a strong advocate for residents and small business owners.
