The Village of Morton Grove continues to monitor and is aware of federal immigration activity conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies within the region including in Morton Grove and our partner communities. The Morton Grove Police Department is not notified in advance of any immigration enforcement activity in our area and doesn’t participate in immigration enforcement.
The Village of Morton Grove is in compliance with the Illinois TRUST Act which prohibits local law enforcement from participating in immigration enforcement activities. The Police Department has not been contacted by ICE or other agencies about immigration enforcement in the community.
