Adopt-A-Block Program

BANNER_LONG_adopt-a-block

The Morton Grove Adopt-A-Block Program empowers residents, businesses, and organizations to help beautify their community starting with their own block. The Village provides free tools and resources, and you and your neighbors commit to keeping your block free of litter.

Become a Block Captain and help contribute to a cleaner and greener Morton Grove! If everyone does a little bit, it makes a huge difference.

The Program provides a free five-gallon bucket, plastic bags, disposable rubber gloves, litter tongs, and information on performing safe and successful clean-up events with your neighbors, family, and friends. Each block is limited to one Block Captain and an initial clean-up kit, which includes enough cleaning materials for five people. More clean-up materials are available by request. Block Captains will be asked to provide regular reports of their clean-up activities to the Village.

If you are interested in joining the Adopt-A-Block Program as a Block Captain, please fill out the Adopt-A-Block Program Form or call 847-663-3061.

Once staff has verified that the desired block is available for adoption, they will contact you with information on next steps, including how to pick up your clean-up kit.

Brought to you by the Village of Morton Grove Environment and Natural Resources Commission (ENRC).
